RX-8 Elements is the perfect choice in audio repair basics for casual and small studio users. It is a budget-friendly noise reduction and audio repair tool powered by technology used in studios around the world!
Features include:
32-Tab Limit for Audio Tabs - NEW!
Time is precious when editing audio in post. To help you tackle more work faster, RX 8 doubles the previous 16-tab limit, now allowing you to view and edit up to 32 files within RX Audio Editor. Cover more ground in less time with greater efficiency and in-app real estate.
Horizontal Scrolling - NEW!
You asked, and iZotope listened: horizontal scrolling is now built into the intuitive Spectrogram Display. Use the scroll gesture on your trackpad or mouse with your cursor to scroll through your audio across the X-axis or lightning-fast edits.
De-Click
The De-click plug-in and module in iZotope RX automatically identifies and removes clicks, pops, and digital impulse noises that can ruin a listening experience. Use De-click when polishing audio transfers and other recordings suffering from quality degradation, digital errors, mouth noises, and cell phone interference.
De-Clip
iZotope RX's De-clip audio plug-in and module repairs digital and analog clipping artifacts. Audio clipping occurs when A/D converters are pushed too hard or magnetic tape is over-saturated. De-clip can be extremely useful for reducing distortion in recordings that were made in a single pass, such as live concerts, interviews, and any audio that cannot be re-recorded.
De-Hum Overhaul - NEW!
Is that an AC unit you hear switching on in the back of your recording? Or maybe you’re frustrated that your drummer lives in an apartment where no matter what room they’re in, you can always hear their fridge humming along? Never fear! De-hum in RX 8 Elements is here. The De-hum module in RX 8 Elements uses an improved detection and reduction algorithm to automatically identify the base frequency of your unwanted hum and precisely remove it and its harmonics, ensuring a clean overall sound. For more complex hum and buzz removal, De-hum automatically recommends when to use De-noise instead, so you'll always have the best tool at hand for the job. Don’t forget to use Adaptive mode to remove hum that changes in frequency over time.
Voice De-Noise
Restore problematic vocal or production recordings in real time with iZotope RX's Voice De-noise audio plug-in and module. Improving on the earlier Dialogue De-noise, the zero-latency Voice De-noise is the most powerful de-noiser focused on dialogue and sung vocal treatment. Voice De-noise has an Adaptive mode that can adjust to a changing noise floor in real time, making it ideal for dialogue stem set-and-forget de-noising. When optimized for music, Voice De-noise excels at attenuating unwanted background noise from air conditioners and street noise from sung vocals in apartment recordings.
Batch Processing
Batch Processing allows you to automate processing on groups of files, or apply processing from multiple modules to files. This can save hours when repairing files that require the same processing, or even something as simple as converting audio files to the same format, sample rate, etc.
Find Similar
Sometimes you may have multiple similar events to repair in an audio file. In cases like this, manually selecting and processing each event can be time consuming. iZotope RX includes a Find Similar event tool which will take your selection and move it to the next, or a previous, similar event. The Find Similar tool also has the capability of selecting all similar events at once, allowing you to fix multiple similar issues at the same time.
Mixing
The Mixing module in iZotope RX provides specific control over both left and right signal and balance levels. This simple operation can be used to downmix stereo material into mono, invert waveforms, transcode left/right stereo into mid/side, subtract a center channel, and much more.
Module Chain
The Module Chain is designed to facilitate quick, simple editing, and speed up the workflow of anyone who finds themselves performing the same editing tasks again and again. Module Chain is able to load and save custom processing chains incorporating multiple processing modules, including multiple instances of the same module. You can then select a saved processing chain and fire if off with a single click. This is especially useful if you find yourself repeatedly applying the same modules with the same or similar settings in sequence. Module Chain ships with many presets to help get you up and running.
Now, Module chain allows you to process specific frequency areas, letting you repair audio quickly and with precision.
Module List Filters
The Module List in iZotope RX can group features under the following categories: Repair, Utility, and Measurement. The Module List now features the ability to save custom views as presets, so you can quickly access modules you use the most.
Phase
The Phase module in iZotope RX can balance asymmetric waveforms by rotating signal phase. Rotating the phase of a signal changes its peak values but doesn’t change its loudness, and otherwise has no audible effect on the signal. Asymmetric waveforms can occasionally occur in audio such as dialogue, voice, and brass instruments. Making the waveform more symmetrical gives the signal more headroom.
Signal Generator
iZotope RX audio repair software includes a Signal Generator that's able to synthesize silence, tones, and noise. This is useful for creating test tones, calibration tones for post production delivery specs, repairing DC offset, and even using it as a “bleep” module to eliminate obscenities in a dialogue edit. The Signal Generator module is capable of generating extremely accurate test tones for research and testing purposes.
Spectrogram
The Spectrogram offers a detailed, three-dimensional view of your audio. The Spectrogram shows a range of frequencies (lowest at the bottom of the display, highest at the top) and shows how loud events are at different frequencies. This means you can see at a glance where there is broadband, electrical, and intermittent noise, allowing you to isolate audio problems easily by sight. RX features an advanced Spectrogram display that is capable of showing greater time and frequency resolution than other Spectrograms, uncovering an unprecedented level of detail when working with audio.
And Much, Much More!
